FairtradeNeuMärz

At ANNAMARIAANGELIKA we are working very close with small family owned knitwear businesses. Our Peruvian manufactures are certified with the Peru Fair Trade Certificate.

Social Justice

DEZEquality21

How do you ensure "Social Justice" with your internal and external corporate environment?

Social Justice is an natural part of ANNAMARIAANGELIKAs philosophy. We are mainly working with women and women lead teams in Peru. The empowerment of artisans and especially female artisans is one of our core values.

Eco/Tech Material

DEZ Renewable energy21_22

Which "Eco/Tech Material" do you work with? What makes this material sustainable? And what makes it better compared to conventional material?

At ANNAMARIAANGELIKA, it all comes down to the basic material, because without good material, none of the AMA garments would be what they are today. You can look anywhere, but you will not find synthetic materials in our products. For our collections we use 100% sustainable natural fibres. As a slow fashion label, we see it as our responsibility to make every piece as durable as possible by choosing only the best materials. On the other hand, at the end of their life, we want to reintegrate them into the biological cycle. We use Peruvian alpaca wool and Peruvian Cotton.

Local Production

LocalNeuMärz10_7

Where and why are your products manufactured "locally"?

At ANNAMARIAANGELIKA, we are aware of the fact that the logistics behind products poses a particular challenge. Our entire value chain for knitted goods is situated in Peru. From sourcing the raw materials till finishing the garment. Nothing is shipped back and forth between countries countless times.

Handcrafted

HandmadeNeuMärz

You stated that at least 50% of your total product range is"Handcrafted". Please briefly explain how your handcrafted manufacturing process works.

Talent, passion and skill: This is what our Peruvian knitters bring to the fashion label ANNAMARIAANGELIKA. The pieces you see here would not be possible without them. All items are handmade one by one, details are carefully applied by hand as well.

Zero Waste

Zerowasteneumärz09

Which processes in your supply chain are "Zero "Waste"?

All garments are manufactured according to the Zero Waste principle. That means they are knitted exactly to size – without any off cuts. This helps us to avoid waste and left-over materials. Any yarn left over is used to produce the next ANNAMARIAANGELIKA piece and is then completely recycled.

Give Back

Charity Social Integration

What organization do you donate to? Why is it important for your brand to "Give Back"?

ANNAMARIAANGELIKA made a conscious decision to make up for the damage caused by shipping our pieces, and so we support the Peruvian conservation organisation GaiAma that was established to help protect the rain forest. 2% of each sold AMA piece are donated to GaiAma.

Eco Packaging

You have indicated to use "Eco Packaging". What makes your packaging more sustainable than conventional packaging.
