JEM is the first French Maison dedicated to ethical and contemporary jewellery. Simple and strong, the clean lines of our designs reflect the transparency of our approach: to design and craft our jewellery with the utmost of care, in an ethical manner that remains true to our mission. JEM has rewritten the traditional codes of jewellery, through a commitment to source only eco-friendly and ethically-certified materials, a guarantee of traceability at each stage in the manufacturing process and a promise to preserve and continue French savoir-faire in the craft of jewellery making.

Fair Trade
JEM is the first French craft jeweler to be engaged in the « Fairmined » industry. Unlike other forms of uncontrolled gold panning, this mining industry is legal, organized by and for the miners themselves, in a cooperative-style management. It respects the environment, human rights, international labor regulations, and applies Fairtrade standards. Fairmined audits and certifies the mining organisations, but also every player of the chain controlling the use of it gold and the respect of its traceability. JEM is Fairmined certified, and audited each year.
Social Justice
Fairmined Gold mining provides a rewarding labor environment, with decent working conditions and fair wages. Fairmined contributes to the growth of local economy, reduces poverty and corruption (money laundering, weapon funding).
Eco/Tech Material
JEM is the first French jewellery House to work with Fairmined Gold. In June 2018, JEM pursues its ethical innovative approach by launching its first ever collection of cultured (also known as lab-grown or synthetic) diamonds.
Local Production
Each of JEM pieces is brought to life in the heart of the French Vosges region, in one of the most renowned ateliers. It is in this atelier, which has also dedicated itself to innovative and sustainable practices, that the specialist jewellers use their savoir-faire to create stunning new pieces.
Handcrafted
Each of JEM pieces is handcrafted according to traditional techniques: this irreplaceable human savoir-faire has been passed down over time, from master to apprentice, and continues to be perpetuated and preserved by our exceptional artisans. It is this savoir-faire that is ultimately expressed in every creation by JEM.
