Brand Story
Katharine started assessing her brand’s practices and sustainability in 1989, long before “eco”, “green” and “conscious” were fashion buzzwords. She commissioned a study into the social and environmental impact of fashion, “thinking we weren’t going to find anything wrong”, she recalls. “Of course, we found everything wrong: thousands of deaths from accidental poisoning in the cotton industry; people working in conditions worse than slavery; every single fibre and process was having a negative impact – of course the carbon emissions are colossal.”
When you choose our eco brand partner, you help make the world more sustainable.

Fair Trade
MAKING CLOTHES FOR THE GOOD OF ALL LIVING THINGS Inspired by the Buddhist concept of Right Livelihood; “ethical business behaviour, making a living in a way that does no harm to people and the natural world”, manufacturing sustainably has been at the core of our business since 1989. We are committed to: Making clothes ethically and as environmentally as possible, preserving traditional skills. Making all design decisions based on the premise that the environmental impact of a product is decided at design stage. Using sustainable raw materials. Durable quality and durable style. Making in the EU, supporting local manufacturing. Promoting
Social Justice
All our suppliers have signed a code of conduct agreement, and they are certified by the Fair Wear Foundation.
Organic Material
BIO FUR: Our fur is 100% biodegradable, while respecting animal welfare. It is made from sheared animal fibre (mohair) that is recovered from angora goats, the same way wool from sheep. ORGANIC COTTON: Organic cotton enables farmers to feed, clothe, educate their families and afford healthcare. It uses less water than conventional cotton. It locks CO2 into the soil, building soil fertility. It is non GM and grown without the use of toxic pesticides and fertilisers. This reduces farmer health problems and the burden of pesticide debt.
Upcycled Material
RECYCLED POLYESTER: upcycled from post-consumer waste.
Zero Waste
We upcycle our items with new collaborations (for example the one we did with Dr Noki), we have created a "Last chance to buy area" on the website where we offer our customer to purchase end of lines items at a discounted price.
