Maren Jewellery considers fair and sustainable working conditions a prerequisite for cooperation. That's why we work with local foundries and refineries, weaving mills and diamond manufacturers, so that we can be absolutely sure that they share our values.

Culture
We offset our carbon footprint through donations to the Chooose initiative, but also support the Earthbeat Foundation and its work in areas where many people used to live from gold mining with 3% of our annual profit, so that new jobs can be created and nature can heal.
Because jewelry is our passion, we take the time to manufacture all our jewelry pieces by hand. No piece is like the other. Each one is unique. This is time-consuming - but we know that you are worth it and wish that our jewelry will be your favorite piece.
Materials / Ingredients
No product in the entire product range must fall under the LIST OF PROHIBITIONS. 100% of the total product range must meet at least one of the materials/ingredients criteria: CERTIFIED ORGANIC PRODUCT, MADE WITH CERTIFIED ORGANIC MATERIAL, NATURAL, MADE WITH SUSTAINABLE RAW MATERIAL, RECYCLED, UPCYCLED, SCIENCE-BASED, SUSTAINABLE BLEND, ECO PATCHWORK.
What we love about gold? It can be recycled perfectly. Because gold mining is very harmful, both for the people who extract the precious metal in the mines and for the environment, which can hardly recover from the craters and chemicals used in mining, we have chosen recycled gold. Recycling gold avoids the mining and consumption of new, finite resources, because there is already enough gold in many production wastes or recyclable goods to process it for reuse. Since gold can be melted down again and again without loss and reused, recycling gold is an environmentally friendly alternative.
The origin of natural diamonds is usually difficult to trace and rarely acceptable. This is why we have decided to use lab grown diamonds. We know exactly who grows and cuts our diamonds and how they do it. And the result is identical with the original diamonds.
Sustainability
Made in Germany stands not only for high quality products, but also for local production. Because the longest way your piece of jewellery should go is from us to you. For us, Made in Germany stands for sustainable structures, fair working conditions, high-quality products, resource-saving production and short delivery routes.
For our jewelry, we only use 18 carat recycled gold, recycled 925 sterling silver and set it with lab grown diamonds. We produce your jewelry only when you order it, so that no resources are wasted. But for us, sustainability does not stop with the finished jewelry: Our packaging is also made of 100% recyclable paper, printed and embossed in an environmentally friendly way.
Due to our holistic approach to sustainability, the consumption of our jewelry pieces at Maren Jewellery is vanishingly small compared to conventional luxury jewelry, at about 0.4 kg of CO2 per piece produced. The latter consume on average about 73 times as much CO2. Nevertheless, this is not enough for us and we offset 500kg of CO2 with each purchase of a piece of jewelry by donating to the Chooose initiative. Since this is significantly more than the 0.4kg of CO2 consumed, Maren Jewellery is climate positive.

Our jewelry is shipped either in recyclable paper or in a beautiful, sustainable linen bag, depending on your preference. Our paper case packaging is manufactured of 100% recyclable paper, printed and embossed in an environmentally friendly way. And the Linen case is handmade from GOTS certified linen.
