Brand Story

With the aim of revolutionizing the fashion industry with sustainable yoga and sportswear, the label OGNX (organics) was created in 2012. Since our foundation, we have worked hard to make our labels as environmentally friendly and fair as possible. We achieve this by using high quality materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester and polyamide or Lenzing Modal™ and by strictly controlling working conditions and payment of all staff involved. Our products are manufactured in Europe, Turkey and the Far East. Asia is one of the market leaders in the resource-saving production of recycled and sustainable functional clothing.

Brand Transparency

Who answered our brand transparency questions?

Marisa Heinze – Marketing Manager at Apparel GmbH.

Fair Trade

How do you ensure "Fair Trade" manufacturing? If your manufacturing or the manufacturing company you work with is certified, please list these certifications.

Most of our materials are Oekotex, GOTS or GRS certified and also 100% Peta approved. But not only in the fiber production process, but also at all other stages of the value chain, we guarantee highest safety standards, the appreciation of employees and their fair payment. We are in close contact with all of our suppliers and visit them regularly to convince ourselves of the good working conditions on site and to foster trustful cooperation.

Social Justice

How do you ensure "Social Justice" with your internal and external corporate environment?

We are a small but highly motivated team based in Munich, Palma and Berlin. For us "organic" is not limited to food and sustainability is not a social trend. We take our responsibility very seriously and expect all of our external employees to adhere to our corporate philosophy.

Organic Material

Which "Organic Material" do you work with? What makes this material sustainable? And what makes it better compared to conventional material?

We use organic cotton and TENCEL® for our Yoga Collection. In addition to ensuring fair working conditions, the use of biological materials is a top priority for us. By adhering to strict regulations, our fibres are not genetically modified, are pesticide-free and use less water during cultivation. In this way, we maintain biodiversity in the growing regions and protect the farmers and our planet. We are proud of our growing collection of TENCEL® products and their particularly sustainable and environmentally friendly circular production in Austria.

Recycled Material

Which "Recycled Material" do you work with? What makes this material sustainable? And what makes it better compared to conventional material?

We are working with different, innovative companies in Europe, Turkey and the Far East, who produce our sports clothing from rPES and rPA under fair conditions and develop new products with us. We are aware that the use of chemical textile fibers is not optimal and therefor we try to avoid them. By using recycled raw materials, avoiding blended fabrics, using GOTS certification of our textile prints and the constant further development of our material portfolio, we try to make our products as environmentally neutral as possible. We are proud of our latest Greenpeace "Detox to zero" certificate.

Eco/Tech Material

DEZ Renewable energy21_22

Which "Eco/Tech Material" do you work with? What makes this material sustainable? And what makes it better compared to conventional material?

TENCEL® is a cotton-like natural fiber that is made from beech wood and processed at Lenzing using Lyocell fiber technology. Modal clothing is particularly soft and therefore very comfortable to wear - perfect for our soft and cuddly Yoga wear. The advantages of modal fiber range from the natural multiplication of beech forests and their sustainable management, to the recovery of all chemicals used in the production process and the compostability of the fabric.

Zero Waste

Which processes in your supply chain are "Zero "Waste"?

We try to make our fabric samples as material-saving as possible and to use residual materials as best as we can. For example, we sewed masks and scruncies from the remains of our biker shorts. In addition, we offer our customers the option of using cardboard boxes that have already been used for delivery. Replacing the recycled polybags with completely biodegradable materials in the packages is one of our top priorities in 2021.

How can you ensure that at least 50% of your total product range is "Vegan"?

All our products are 100% Peta Vegan approved.
