Brand Transparency

Who answered our brand transparency questions?

Lilija Bairamova – CEO at Orbasics.

Fair Trade

FairtradeNeuMärz

How do you ensure "Fair Trade" manufacturing? If your manufacturing or the manufacturing company you work with is certified, please list these certifications.

From the very start, we wanted Orbasics to be a brand that does good for the environment and all people involved in production. We deeply care about the health of our planet and want to make it easy for our customers to do good. That is why all our basics are certified under the GOTS standard, guaranteeing the highest degree of organic and ethical production along the entire supply chain. Also, our pieces are lovingly made in Europe to reduce eco-harmful shipping distances.

Social Justice

DEZEquality21

How do you ensure "Social Justice" with your internal and external corporate environment?

Being certified under the GOTS standard ensures that everyone involved in making our clothes is treated fairly. That means: absolutely no child labour, safe and healthy working conditions and fair wages. Internally, we live social justice via our staff & vision. Our small team is made up of mostly women.

Organic Material

DezOrganic21_2

Which "Organic Material" do you work with? What makes this material sustainable? And what makes it better compared to conventional material?

We earn your trust by using 100% organic materials, mostly cotton, that’s super soft and made to be worn often. The cotton we use is grown free of genetically modifications, harmful pesticides, chemicals or toxins. This means: our clothes are better for both the planet and your (kid’s) skin. We avoid blending fibers to make recycling possible and only use mechanical finishings to avoid using possibly harmful chemicals. To give a few items like our leggings their stretchy feels, we must use small amounts of elastane. If we do, we‘re 100% transparent about it.

Zero Waste

Zerowasteneumärz09

Which processes in your supply chain are "Zero "Waste"?

In textile production, it‘s almost impossible not to have leftover fabric or work with no packaging. That is why we concentrate on minimizing waste in any possible way. This is well-shown by our new product: Our Second-Chance Knee Patches are made from scrap & give a second life to worn-out basics. To use as much fabric as possible, they come in three different shapes and two different sizes. In packaging and shipping, we also embrace the less-waste philosophy. We reuse cartons from returned items for new orders and pack our clothes as minimalistic as possible while still keeping them safe.

Vegan

VeganNeuMärz

How can you ensure that at least 50% of your total product range is "Vegan"?

The Orbasics collection is 100% vegan. We use absolutely no animal-related products when it comes to our clothes or packaging. For the production of our collection, we only use 100% organic cotton and small bits of elastane.

Eco Packaging

You have indicated to use "Eco Packaging". What makes your packaging more sustainable than conventional packaging.

As our packaging, we use eco-friendly and recyclable materials.
