Now that I´m back from New York I am currently editing pictures and I can´t believe how many sustainable, conscious and organic spots I photographed for the City Guide. And there are still so many great spots left, which I must visit next time. I want to show you some of the coolest healthy food spots in Manhattan which I highly recommend. If you follow me on Snapchat (@mochni_com) you might remember some locations. These spots are mostly organic restaurants or take away food shops using seasonally and locally sourced ingredients. Here is my list of 11 healthy food spots to visit in Manhattan!

1. Nourish Kitchen + Table | West Village

Nourish Kitchen + Table is a seasonally and locally inspired café by nutritionist and superfoodie Marissa Lippert located in Greenwich Village. The food and drinks are delicious and I absolutely loved it to have lunch there. I can recommend it for paleo lovers and all who like it to have a fresh balancing lunch. Salads, fruits, organic chicken, juices, matcha latte and so much more…

2. Chalait | West Village

This simple yet high quality Café Chalait is located in the heart of West Village (OMG I love this area with lots of cool spots and young people!) and it is run by Michelle and Ramon. You can choose from a huge line of different Matcha green tea drinks. But you also can have different coffee and tea sorts. For lunch I got the rustic toasted bread with egg and an avocado side salad. All beverages and dishes are made out of the highest quality ingredients. You also can get delicious muesli or chia pudding for take away.

3. Café Clover | West Village

Café Clover is also located in West Village near the Washington Square Park. It is one of the most elegant restaurants for having a simple american organic meal for lunch or dinner. The interior is a mix between american style combined with the European-french charme and the atmosphere is cozy but down-to-earth, which I love. As starter Lizzy and me got the green market veggies and a beetroot salad. Then I tried the burger (typically american, best organic beef ever!) and Lizzy got the pasta but we picked from each other´s plates 😉 . The Café already hosted events like H&M Conscious, Vogue Shooting or events with Sarah Jessica Parker, Taylor Swift and Olivia Wild.

4. Egg Shop | Soho

The Egg Shop is one of the hippest locations in Soho. Bloggers like Chriselle Lim or Zanita love it too 🙂 . I got the bowl with avocado, quinoa, egg (surprise) and green salad. But you can also order different egg sandwiches (great for breakfast!). It is always organic and locally sourced.

5. Butcher´s Daughter | Nolita

Butcher´s Daughter is an vegetarian Café and Juice Bar, located in Nolita (North of Little Italy) near Egg Shop. The industrial design is so cool, that I could take pictures of this location the whole day. It is created by founder Heather Tierney and it is also located in Venice Los Angeles, where I want to go soon so badly. I could not try any dishes, because I had lunch at the Egg Shop before, but I made a pic of this good looking bowl. You can get a signature line of fresh pressed juices and healthy vegetarian dishes. All ingridients are seasonally and sustainable locally sourced. The tiny Butchers Daughter Shop (where you can get bottled juices, fruits and supplements) is located next door. A must-go when in Manhattan!

6. Pressed Juicery | Noho

Pressed Juicery opened up their first east coast store in Noho in 2015. Pressed Juicery is originally from Los Angeles. They serve the cold-pressed juices at more than 30 points on the west coast. I tried a lot of the different juices (so yummy). My favorites are: the pink young coconut juice, the green juices and the vanilla almond milk, but all are honestly the best I have ever tried. Pressed Juicery is really worth it to stop at one of their shops for your daily cleanse. Would love to sip them here in Germany!

7. ABC Kitchen | Union Square

ABC Kitchen has this beautiful shabby chic interior, where you can discover artful decoration in every corner. The interior is sustainable and most of them shoppable in the ABC Home store. The slow food dishes are beautifully made, individual and very delicious. I got 1. the pear and apple salad with blue cheese dressing, 2. the crab toast with lemon aioli and 3. roast carrot and avocado salad.
The menu is free of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, antibiotics, hormones, is GMO-free, and naturally and humanely sourced from regional farmers and fair trade cooperatives.

8. Inday | Flatiron district

GOOD KARMA SERVED DAILY is their motto. You can mix your dishes how you like it: Just choose a dish with different veggies and add a protein of your choice. I love the spicy food bowls and the vegan choco pudding (made with avocado, raw cacao and coconut milk). Inday is 100% gluten free and serves antibiotic-free meats, local vegetables and organic beverages.

9. Mandarin Oriental | Central Park

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel belongs to the most luxurious Hotels in the world. I was invited for having Chinese New Year Afternoon Tea with Lizzy at the Lobby Lounge with an amazing view over the Central Park. During this chilly Afternoon Tea we had the chance to fully reload ourselfes and totally calm down while having a super delicious organic tea. We also had some different sandwiches with a mix of organically and locally sourced ingridients (the vitello tonato was my favorite! Lizzys was the Pumpernickel one!). The organic teas are from Tealeaves, which are hand-crafted artisanal teas that are master blended using the highest quality ingredients. Please visit the Mandarin Oriental for having the most relaxing time.

10. Maman | Tribeca

Maman is one of the hippest Cafés in Soho and Tribeca – Fashionistas all over the place 😉 . I visited both spots – I like the tiny location in Soho for pick up a Matcha Latte or a piece of Pistachio Cake, but for lunch I prefer the bigger location in Tribeca, because you can have a seat and service. The baked goods and dishes are inspired by family recipes from North America and the South of France. We had 1. the squash spaghetti with gluten-free corn spaghetti, fried organic egg, roasted turkey, pumpkin seeds and rosemary & 2. smoked salmon tartinette on homemade “pain noir” with ricotta, dill and lemon & 3. the avocado toast with tomatoes, cilantro, lime, pumpkin seeds and chili peppers with homemade country bread. We picked from each other´s plates again, because it all looked so good and it was super delicious.

11.The Greek | Tribeca

Literally the best organic greek restaurant all over Manhattan 😉 I can say that this is not only one of the best looking greek restaurant but also the most tasty greek food I´ve ever tried. I only tried vegetarian dishes with very tasty white and red vine! All dishes are natural, organic, free of GMOs, and gluten-free and fullfill the best authentic Greek experience.
