Our hearts are heavy as we see and hear from our friends, community, and people impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles. The city feels like our second home, full of inspiration and creativity. This is the city where we had our first community event at The ROW DTLA, where we met our first brand partner, and had so many beautiful moments. Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we send a lot of love. It’s also incredibly touching to see the community efforts and how small and local businesses are using their resources to offer support.

The wildfires in Los Angeles have devastated numerous communities, displaced families, and destroyed homes. According to CAL FIRE more than 153 wildfires are currently raging in California, with 24,419 emergency responses, 40,660 acres burned, 12,300+ structures destroyed, and damage assessments underway for the Palisades & Eaton Fires. According to Reuters, “the Los Angeles wildfires, which have reduced entire neighborhoods to smoldering ruins and left an apocalyptic landscape, could become the costliest wildfires in U.S. history in terms of insured losses if analysts’ estimates of up to $20 billion materialize.”
But the power of the L.A. community is unmatched. Local ethical brands, known for their commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, are supporting those affected in a variety of ways—from donation drives and disaster relief pro bono services to providing essential goods and organizing fundraisers. Ethical brands play a vital role in providing immediate relief, offering an incredible sense of solidarity. We’ve compiled a list of local brands that are contributing to wildfire relief efforts, and how you can help too.

“All of us firsthand have experienced or know someone that has lost something irreplaceable. We now have collected over 80 families in need who have lost their homes to the wildfires in LA, from Eaton to Palisades, Kenneth to Sunset. Families have reached out from our Social Media efforts. We’ve also reached out to verified GoFundMe’s for under-resourced families. The families in need continue to grow. We’ve received an enormously generous roster of commitments from amazing brands so far, but we are in need of more as our operations expand. We will keep everyone updated on our progress as we continue our efforts these upcoming weeks. LAClothingDrive@gmail.com.” Collina Strada wrote on Instagram.
