Why we love this place
Located near Canal Saint Martin, Centre Commercial is a unique store committed to people and the environment. Founded in 2010 by friends Sébastien Kopp and François-Ghislain Morillion—who also launched the sneaker brand VEJA—this space beautifully intertwines fashion, design, and sustainability. Antonia, our editor-in-chief, first met Sébastien in 2016 during a visit to Paris, where she was introduced not only to the cute VEJA headquarters but also to Centre Commercial, which reminded her of her grandmother’s store. With a team that has grown from three to over twenty, the store has become a hybrid space promoting conscious consumption. Centre Commercial showcases a carefully curated selection of brands, prioritizing responsibly manufactured products made in France and organic. It serves as a platform for industry leaders to express their creativity, featuring renowned brands such as Norse Projects, Arpenteur, and Kowtow, and VEJA.

MOCHNI, pronounced mo-kn-ee, is a Native American name with the meaning ‘talking bird’.
We honor the Native American tribal nations that inspire us with their spirit, craftsmanship and deep connection to nature. We educate and inform ourselves at Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP), an organization that helps people better understand and advocate for issues important to Native American leaders, indigenous communities and tribal nations.
