Why we love this place
If we ever open a MOCHNI Café, it would probably look like THE BUCHTER’S DAUGHTER: a down-to-earth, rustic, yet chic place with lots of daylight, lots of plants and a touch of color here and there. Every time you visit a BUTCHER’S DAUGHTER place, whether in LA or NY, you feel like you could be in Cape Town or Bali, maybe a mix of both. The restaurant offers cold pressed juices, wellness lattes, coffee, smoothies, acai bowls, avocado toast, veggie burger and other delicious vegetarian meals. The Nolita location offers more outdoor than indoor seating options. In the market shop next door you can buy pre-filled cold pressed juices, dishes, supplements from Anima Mundi and more.

MOCHNI, pronounced mo-kn-ee, is a Native American name with the meaning ‘talking bird’.
We honor the Native American tribal nations that inspire us with their spirit, craftsmanship and deep connection to nature. We educate and inform ourselves at Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP), an organization that helps people better understand and advocate for issues important to Native American leaders, indigenous communities and tribal nations.
