Why we love this place
The boutique hotel is in an excellent, very accessible location in Williamsburg and is a member of Regenerative Travel. Established in 2012 in a factory building that has centuries-old industrial roots. To preserve this heritage, the hotel commissioned local artisans to reuse materials found during the building’s demolition to create unique and artistic guestroom interior, adding a touch of local art to each room. Art is an important element of the hotel’s commitment. They support local artists and sustainable fashion designers including pop-up opportunities to engage the art scene in Brooklyn and the New York City metropolitan area. The hotel bar and restaurant, Blondeau, is a French-style bar with incredible views of the Manhattan skyline and offers a seafood menu and an international selection of natural wines from emerging wine regions. We come here every time we are in Brooklyn.

MOCHNI, pronounced mo-kn-ee, is a Native American name with the meaning ‘talking bird’.
We honor the Native American tribal nations that inspire us with their spirit, craftsmanship and deep connection to nature. We educate and inform ourselves at Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP), an organization that helps people better understand and advocate for issues important to Native American leaders, indigenous communities and tribal nations.
